Central Valley Academy is proud to announce that senior Alina Rana has been named a Commended Student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. CVA principal Dick Keeler, assistant principal Danielle Hess, and guidance counselor Shannon Darrow celebrated the news with Alina on Monday, Sept. 23. Commended Students are among the top two percent of 1.5 million students who take the PSAT/NMSQT each year.
"CVA is fortunate to have students such as Alina who represent the very best of our community," said Mr. Keeler. "We know that she will build on her CVA foundation to do great things in her future."
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation explains, "Those being name Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success. These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success."
