The Central Valley School District Board of Education oversees and manages the school district’s affairs, personnel and properties through the goals and policies it adopts. All Board actions endeavor to empower the leadership and employees of Central Valley CSD to achieve the district mission, "The Central Valley Central School District will provide a relevant progressive educational and social foundation to graduate all students as lifelong learners prepared for career and/or college."

Policy and Plans - Public Review

Periodically, the Board of Education reviews and considers changes to various policies and plans. Under New York State Education law, residents have the right to review those policies and plans prior to any board action. Residents may comment during the public comment portion of the monthly board of education meetings, via email at boe@cvalleycsd.org or via correspondence mailed to Stacey Gurtowski, District Clerk, 111 Frederick St, Ilion, NY 13357. Currently, the board is reviewing:

Board meetings

The board meets monthly in public sessions to conduct district business. Meeting agendas are posted prior to meetings. Per District Policy 2303, minutes are available to the public within two weeks following the date of a meeting; draft copies, so marked, are acceptable, subject to correction. The board reviews and adopts each meeting’s minutes at its next regular meeting. Adopted minutes are published online immediately thereafter.
