Mott Marathon Weekend - Quick Facts

This is Mott Marathon Weekend! Come be a part! Cheer on the runners; support our sponsors; contribute to our worthwhile causes.

Here are the things you need to know.

  • Saturday, June 6 at 11 a.m. is Anna's Walk. Participants walk 3 miles (12 laps) on the CVA track to raise money for Anna's Sunflower Warriors. Anna was a Central Valley student who lost her battle with cancer. Anna's Sunflower Warriors supports families fighting pediatric cancer. The group stocks a special candy cart at the Melodies Center Pediatric Oncology at Albany Medical Center. For more information, visit annassunflowerwarriors.com.
  • Sunday, June 7 at 9:30 a.m. is the Jarvis Mile for Mental Wellness. Jarvis student run one mile on the CVA track in memory of Christopher Newton.
  • Sunday, June 7 at 10 a.m. until the last runner finishes. The marathon begins. It's a grueling 105 laps on the CVA track. Local band Showtime will pump the runners up with a full set. Relay teams begin at 10:10 a.m. Concessions and merch will be available with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

  • Money raised in 19 years – More than $47,000 (can we break the $50,000 mark this year?)
  • Most starters – 47 in 2019 (We have 48 signed up currently and will break the record if they all turn out.)
  • Most finishers – 44 in 2024
  • Total finishers – 482 to date (the 12th Senior to complete the run will be the 500th over the 20-year history
  • Most miles total – 32.2 miles by Nolan Tutty in 2025
  • Fastest student marathon – 3:23:51 by Chyanna Bernier in 2016
  • Fastest Mott Marathon – 3:19:42 by -Kimberly Wrate of the Utica Roadrunner in 2019
  • Fastest marathon run by Mr. Mott – 3:03:35 at the 2005 Houston Marathon and 3:04:31 in the 2005 Boston Marathon 
  • Fastest relay – 2:43:14 by Stephen Paddock and Michael Polidori.
