Fisher PreK students enjoyed a special guest reader on Friday, Feb. 28 — Superintendent Jeremy Rich. He dropped in to read in Ms. Grogan's, Ms. Schmitt's, and Ms. Pollack's classes. As a former English teacher, his feels strongly that adults play a key part in the way children see reading.
"It is never to early to share the joy of reading," said Mr. Rich. "And one of the best ways to do that is for adults to sit down with with young children and read a good book. Not only does it spark a child's imagination, it reinforces the message that reading is important."
"Fisher Elementary is about to kick off their annual PARP – Pick a Reading Partner campaign. I hope parents, grandparents, even older siblings take part. It can make a huge difference in a child's life."
