Melfe's donates gift certificates to CVA CTE students

For the second consecutive year, Melfe's Shoes of Mohawk has given Melfe's gift certificates to every CVA student attending specific Career and Technical Education programs. The certificates will help offset the cost of work boots and clothing students need for their programs.

"Last year, Melfe's gave $100 certificates, but this year generously increased the amount to $150," said CVA Principal Dick Keeler. "High quality boots and clothing are expensive. These certificates go a long way, enabling students to purchase what they need to protect themselves from the weather and  workplace hazards. We cannot thank Melfe's enough."

Fifty students in the following CTE programs received certificates:

• Advanced Manufacturing I and II
• Automotive Technology I and II
• Building Construction I and II
• Conservation I and II
• Heavy Equipment Operating I and II
• Outdoor Power Equipment I and II
• Welding and Metal Fabrication I and II
