Monstrous Art at Barringer Road

Congratulations to all of the artists who entered their monsters in the Barringer Road art contest. Art teacher Cheryl LaVenture, principal Genevieve Wares, and school secretary Laurie Landry struggled to select the top ten from the 137 entries!

"The monster drawings were all so wonderful that it was very hard to choose the winners and it took quite some time to narrow it down to just ten," said Mrs. LaVenture.

The ten pieces will be sent to the high school where students in the Ceramics 1 and 2 classes will test their skills trying to recreate the original works in clay. In addition, Mrs. LaVenture, who is an accomplished ceramicist, will turn them into 3-D clay pieces, which she will present to the original artists.
